Frequently Asked Questions

Do you ship your products?

Yes! At this time, most orders ship within 36 hours. Shipping is available anywhere in the United States and Canada via USPS.  

Can I get free shipping?

Orders over $75 can qualify for free USPS Ground shipping. At checkout, select the USPS ground shipping option and use code “SHIP4FREE”.

What’s the best way to shop your products?

The entire brick & mortar inventory is available online at craftfarm.co/shop. Elmira locals and visitors may pop-in to the physical shop on Friday & Saturday or shop by appointment at other times during the week. (See current shop hours here.)

How does local delivery work?

Local Delivery is currently available in Corning, Elmira, Horseheads, Big Flats, Painted Post and adjacent communities. Deliveries are typically made 1-2 days after the order has been placed - but don’t be surprised if it shows up on your doorstep the same day as the order was placed! If you need your order very quickly, feel free to reach out to allison@craftfarm.co, we will try our best to accomodate special requests.

For neighborhood/city deliveries, orders are typically left at the front door of the shipping address. More rural deliveries are typically left at or near the mailbox of the shipping address. Alternate delivery instructions can be left at checkout.

Why don’t I see the local delivery option at check out?

If a local delivery option does not show up at check out your shipping address zip code is not currently in the approved zone. If you think that your zip code should be included, please send an email to allison@craftfarm.co. Please include your shipping zip code in the email.

Can you gift wrap that?

Yep. If you write a gift message, a little extra flair goes into the packing of that order.

What about recycling packaging and getting refills?

Craft Farm values reusable and recyclable packaging.  If you have purchased an item in glass or other reusable container, you may return it to the store for a special discount on your next purchase.  

Some products are currently available for discounted bottle refills too. Look forward to more developments in our refill & recycling program soon.

How did you learn to make soap?

A dear creative friend me taught me soap making basics and got me hooked on the process during the winter of 2015. Since then, I have researched and studied both processes, ingredients, and associated protocol. I am currently a certified soapmaker and member the Handcrafted Soap and Cosmetic Guild.

Do you teach soap making classes?

Yes! I teach group classes and private lessons. Stay tuned for workshops.

What essential oils do you use?

While I am not brand loyal, I do require quality pure essential oils. Most frequently I use a a Florida-based company, Camden-Grey, a supplier of high quality, bulk essential oils, especially for use in soap & cosmetics.

Do you wholesale your products?

Many Craft Farm products are available at wholesale prices for retail businesses.  For pricing and availability, email allison@craftfarm.co

What about Covid-19?

We take safety seriously and adhere to current CDC and statewide safety recommendations. Private shopping appointments and curbside-pick up options are also available.
